The headline reads ‘Racist’ license plates in N.B.’ The plates are being recalled because They felt it was racist. Not because the word is actually racist.
Because of course they felt it was important to be sensitive to a multicultural community. So despite the fact they didn’t feel it was racist, they showed what good sports they are.
Because it’s just a “derogatory nickname” that isn’t actually racist. Just “racist.” For good measure, four white-appearing people are interviewed at the end of the broadcast to say how this isn’t racist at all.
Just so you know how they are.
