Not really grieving.

I’m busily catching up on popular culture, which meant a recent viewing of the movie Serenity, a continuation of the popular but short-lived television series.

There are a lot of little Asian-like things dropped into this future world, including some mangled Mandarin phrases. I didn’t even recognize the language as Mandarin until quite some time has passed. Actual Asians, however, don’t feature very prominently.

But here is my favorite Asian-like tchotchke, worn by a character at a funeral. It’s a 雙喜 (double happiness) necklace. Almost as good as a smiley face. :)
