My cultural competence

I ate a large serving of green bean casserole yesterday. Then I said it was delicious and asked how it was made. (“Oh, all it has in it is Velveeta cheese and Ritz! You just mix them all up and pop them into the oven!”)

Okay, which one is the classic? The one with the “chow mein” noodles on top? Or the canned onion rings? Does it involve cream of mushroom soup?

Green Beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk. soy sauce, canned onions, pepper.

I don’t care how many chefs on the food network try to make a new, “fancy version” the classic from campbells is best. LOL
