Probation
Tinley Park resident Valerie Kenney was charged with a hate crime for an incident in which she verbally abused another woman in a grocery store and then yanked the other woman’s headscarf.
She pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery, was fined $2500 and was sentenced to two years of probation and 200 hours of community service.

She wouldn’t have been the only one is trouble, she’s lucky the woman isn’t like me. She yanked my hijab, she woulda been [redacted] slapped to the ground.
