Does anyone buy that this is satire, or is it reinforcemet of stereotypes?

I think that if this cartoon had been framed as a parody of Fox News or MainstreamMedia, Sean Hannity ect. it might have made it as satire.
As a stand alone front cover, it’s reinforcement. Portraying Michelle as
Angela Davis, who was never convicted, with an Afro and guns, is gross.

Reinforcement. Those who are falling for the false rumors will not actually take the time to read the article. Obviously they’re not taking time to read anything, or they’d have already fact-checked themselves.
I just heard another white woman on the news — a lifelong Democrat — who will be voting Republican for the first time ever because, “I think he’s a Muslim”. Folks in that camp will see the cover in a newstand and think to themselves, “See?!” and move on. And I’m thinking subtle satire is likely not their strong suit.
