The Normans are among a growing number of infertile couples in Atlantic Canada who, instead of waiting years on formal adoption lists, or travelling overseas to find children, are arranging private adoptions of Inuit children from Nunavut.

The writer notes there is “an ample supply of Inuit children available for adoption.”
